I am originally from Yellowknife and received my education at Arctic College in Fort Smith, NT and the University of Saskatchewan, in Saskatoon. Since graduating with my B. Ed., I have been teaching at K’alemi Dene School in Ndilo. Since 2000, I taught all grade levels except Kindergarten and am now in Administration. I am currently taking my Master’s Degree in Administration through the University of New England. I strongly believe in the words of our Dettah Elder Michel Paper that today’s medicine power is Education.
I currently live in Ndilo with my husband Robert (Guy), and our daughter Danya. Our two sons Skyler and Rainer now live on their own. In my spare time, I enjoy learning, travelling, reading and cooking. Traveling with the high school students on educational trips from Alberta to Ontario, Arizona, California, Hawaii and New York has been an amazing highlight of my career.
